What if I am going to be away on vacation?At Aj's Music Academy, we understand that life can get busy and vacations are important! If you need to miss a lesson due to a pre-planned vacation, simply provide at least two weeks’ notice. We can accommodate your absence by either saving the lesson for future use or receiving a recorded video lesson. For extended absences longer than two weeks, please note that tuition must still be paid to reserve your specific time slot and teacher. This ensures your spot remains available, allowing you to seamlessly continue your musical journey upon your return.

What are your holiday closures?Aj's Music Academy observes and will be closed on the following holidays below. If your lesson falls on any of these days, the monthly tuition will be adjusted: September 2nd ‐ Labor Day November 11th ‐ Veterans Day 27th ‐ 29th ‐ Fall Break December 23rd ‐ Jan 1st ‐ Winter Break January 20th ‐ Martin Luther King, Jr. February 17th ‐ Presidents' Day April 1st - 4th ‐ Spring Break May 26th ‐ Memorial Day July - August Summer Break

What are the accepted payment methods at Aj's Music Academy?Payments can be conveniently made by Cashapp, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, or Charter Homeschool Funds(Blue Ridge Charter School &/or iLead School). Whichever is more convenient for you!

What is the best age to start music lessons?At Aj's Music Academy, we believe that it's never too early or too late to embark on a musical journey. We offer lessons for everyone aged 7 to 122. Whether you're a young beginner eager to explore the world of music or an older adult looking to refine your skills or even start anew, our experienced instructors are equipped to tailor lessons that suit your individual needs and goals. Join us and discover that learning music can be a lifelong, rewarding experience.

How much do lessons cost?We offer a variety of pricing options to suit your learning style and budget: Pay-as-you-go: Enjoy flexibility by booking single lessons,Each at-- 30-minute lesson : $55 1-hour lesson : $100 Monthly commitment (Discounted by 15%): Get a discounted rate by enrolling in a 4 lessons delivered each month. Four 30-minute lessons per month : $200.00 Four 1-hour lessons per month : $360.00 Semester Pricing (Discounted by 20%): For a longer-term commitment, consider our semester packages offering significant savings at $80.00 per hour or $45.00 per 30-minute lesson Fall Semester (approximately 15 Weeks): 30 minutes per week: $675.00 1 hour per week: $1,200.00 Spring Semester (approximately 24 Weeks): 30 minutes per week: $1080.00 1 hour per week: $1,920.00

What is your absence policy?Cancellations must be made with at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, the class will be charged. After a class has been properly cancelled, the student is entitled to a makeup session within two weeks of the original lesson date(s) based on the teacher’s availability or a video lesson will be recorded when make-ups cannot be accommodated. Student tuition is paid in order to reserve a guaranteed space and teacher for a specific time each week, and, therefore, tuition must be paid regardless of the attendance of the student. If an absence is unavoidable, please contact as soon as possible. For student cancellations, we observe a 24 hour cancellation policy. With sufficient notice, lessons will be eligible for rescheduling a make-up lesson within two weeks of the original lesson date(s) schedule permitting. For any same day cancellations, where a 24 hour notice was not provided, the class will be charged for the absence. A video lesson will be recorded when make-ups cannot be accommodated. For Absence from the instructor, the student is entitled to a makeup session based on the teacher’s availability or a credit towards a future lesson.

What happens if I miss my lesson?At Aj's Music Academy, we understand that life can be unpredictable. If a student does not arrive within the first 10 minutes of their scheduled lesson, the session is considered a no call, no show. In such cases, we record a personalized video lesson for the student, ensuring they don't miss out on that week's material. However, if a student is ill and unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible so we can work to make the best accommodation for you. We strive to offer flexibility and ensure every student continues to make progress, even if they cannot attend a live session.
